RSHE
Relationships, Social and Health education (RSHE) focuses on teaching the fundamental building blocks and characteristics of positive relationships.
The aim of teaching pupils about physical health and mental wellbeing is to give them the information that they need to make good decisions about their own health and wellbeing.
By the end of primary school children will be taught about:
- Families and people who care for me
- Caring friendships
- Respectful relationships
- Online relationships
- Being safe
- Mental wellbeing
- Internet safety and harms
- Physical health and fitness
- Healthy eating
- Drugs, alcohol and tobacco
- Health and prevention
- Basic First Aid
- Changing adolescent body
The above topics will be taught through termly themes of 'Relationships', 'Living in the wider world' and 'Health and Wellbeing'.
