Welcome to Year 5 Cedar! This page will give you an insight into the exciting learning that happens in our class.
World Book Day
As a class, we explored the notebooks found in 'The Lost Book of Adventure.' Our adventurer travelled all over the world and created some incredible drawings of what he saw. The children planned their own adventure into the wild and thought carefully about how they would create shelter and eat food. We also all enjoyed our extra 'Booky Breaktime' as we relaxed in our pyjamas!
Working Scientifically
We have been investigating how to separate mixtures effectively. The children were given a range of equipment and their challenge was to get muddy water as clean as possible. After exploring many different options, they decided using filter paper was most effective.
