We also explored the effects of different forces and how the impact on our lives but thinking about the questions:

- What different forces do we encounter in every day life?

- What if we lived in a world with no gravity?

- What is air resistance and what does it feel like?

- How does air resistance affect the rate in which something falls?

Merry Christmas! We hope you all have a wonderful break and rest over the holidays.

We wanted to say a BIG thank you for all our kind Christmas wishes, cards and gifts.

Love from, Miss Craig and Mrs Maxwell x x

Year 5 Anglo Saxon Day

This week, Year 5 took a step back in time to meet the Anglo Saxon warrior, Oswald. He taught us what life was like in the harsh time that he lived, as well as preparing us for the battle between King Penda of Mercia and King Oswald or Northumbria.

Take  look at some of the adventures we had on that day.

Anglo Saxon Day

Cedar Class

Welcome to Year 5 Cedar!

We are really looking forward to this Autumn half term. In line with our topic question ' Do our choices really matter?', we have created table names of the inspirational people. Their choices really did matter but did they always make the best choices? This is an area that could be researched a little more and will provide many interesting conversations. Each table will be awarded points for demonstrating excellent behaviour for learning. Every Friday there will be a winning table!
