Autumn Term
During the Autumn term, many of our lessons were based around our enquiry question, 'What makes a great story?' During our history lessons, we focused on historical battles that have shaped history including: The Trojan War, The Battle of Hastings and The Battle of Bosworth.
We enjoyed writing a fictional piece based on the battle scene from the most recent Alice in Wonderland film. In computing, we researched stop motion films and planned our own short animation based on the Battle of Bosworth. During our science lessons, we explored the many uses of electricity as well as planning and carrying out an investigation to test whether materials are conductors or insulators. In preparation for the Farmers' Market, we designed and hand-stitched our own cushions to sell as part of our enterprise week. We have designed and created poppies that will be added to a whole school display to mark 100 years since the end of World War 1. We are very proud of our efforts! Take a look below.
